FAMILY SUMMER Glass Sgraffito Workshop

Join us for a fun, hands-on fused glass sgraffito workshop at Chester Art Hub this summer - a chance for families to get creative together and try something a little different.
 
In this workshop, you’ll explore the technique of sgraffito using coloured glass. You’ll create your own design by carefully scratching and drawing into the surface layers to reveal patterns, shapes or images beneath, before your piece is kiln fired to create a unique fused glass artwork. It’s a wonderfully expressive process that feels a little like drawing, mark-making and printmaking combined.
 
The workshop takes place in our bright, airy, purpose-built creative studio in Hoole, offering a relaxed and welcoming space to make, explore and enjoy some creative time together.
 
Tea, coffee and cold drinks are provided.
 
Suitable for ages 6+. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Those aged 12 - 16 will be asked to provide parental consent.
 
Spaces are limited to just 8 participants, so early booking is recommended.
 
Chester Art Hub is a brand new creative space on Hoole Road, CH2 3NU (near the United Reformed church).
 
There is easy, unrestricted on-street parking outside and level access for good accessibility. Please get in touch if you have any specific accessibility requirements.

Your work will be kiln-fired after the workshop ready for collection within 2 weeks. You will be contacted when your pieces are ready to collect.
